Gamble On Humanity written by Ayisha Suddika presents a bold, brave, and courageous perspective on dealing with serious problems we have been facing in the world: problems like social injustice, racial and other forms of discrimination , and world wide pollution. There are different ways of dealing with such problems. Such as ignoring them, having an 'ostrich mentality', or taking revengeful actions.

Great contemporary leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr, Dalai Lama and a few others have taken a different route: a route of non-violence, demonstrations, compassion, service, and unconditional love. Such leaders have taken road less traveled even at the risk the of being assassinated. Under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi, India followed the path of civil disobedience and non-violence. He took a gamble, a bold innovative step. We followed his path of non-cooperation and no-violence and got liberated from the grip of the British rule. I have been following this path in dealing with social and political injustice. Building my "house" on this foundation and living in it with firm determination helps me commit to "Life unto life." Let me conclude with the words of wisdom spoken by Mahatma Gandhi : "Eye for an eye will make the whole world bind."
