Mindfulness

We Can See Only What We Can Think

Based on the article by Michael Lipson, here is my reflection:

We all have a mind. How we use our mind is important. Mind can create bondage and the mind can create freedom. Mind can create darkness and the mind can create light. Our thinking can create hell or can create heaven. Mind shapes our destiny. The challenge for me is how to keep my mind open, clear, and non-judgemental. Our mind is like a two -edged sword. It can help us either to defend or to kill. Discretion between what is right and what is wrong is very crucial. We need to keep our mind clear and unbiased to see the reality, to see the truth. A free and open mind creates a bridge to connect us. A close or biased mind divides us. We need to keep our minds awake. Inner awakening helps us create harmony. Awakening helps me go through darkness. Awakening makes me free from the past that is already gone and from the future that has yet to come. Awakening helps me to live fully in the here-now world. Mindfulness, non-judgemental awareness of what's happening in the present moment creates here-now-consciousness. It takes time to awaken and to walk on the path of light and freedom. When I walk on this path of awakening it helps me live compassionately and kindly. I feel unitive consciousness in my mind and heart. Daily practice of non-judgemental mindfulness meditation helps me walk on the path of my life.
Namaste.

Hello Dr Dave’

There is a voice in our heads that is the mind hearing the thoughts that are present. There is a voice from our heart and soul that connects with a deeper knowing from our connection with God

Often times these voices from two different parts of us have conversation with each other and as the observer we can determine via mindfulness which direction we will go.

These voices can work in harmony, if we so choose to make the best out of every situation as we consciously respond and not react to people, places and things.

The daily practice of mindfulness strengthens that which helps us grow in wisdom, understanding, compassion, pure joy, and enthusiasm for life. This is how you live, and this is how you have been a beautiful role model for me and thousands of others

Forever grateful,
Elaine

We are able to see more than what we think when we are open and loving towards ourselves and others. Which is only a perception of our separateness. Yes, our perception of our lives have to do with what we think. However we can grow in light when we can open our hearts to those around us. We are interconnected and knowing this helps us act with less biases. How would we explain our subconscious mind? It’s a whole lot of past habits that guide our behaviors. We can wake up from those conditions and live more at peace with our true nature. Hope everyone is doing well!
